Natural Gas

Natural gas is a nonrenewable clean source of energy used primarily for heating and generating electricity. North America produces natural gas from wells within the continent but also imports natural gas from abroad. Importing natural gas can be done via pipeline or by ship. Imports that come in by ship contain natural gas that has been cooled to a liquid state ("Liquefied Natural Gas" or LNG) for transportation.

Many Provinces and States in North America have deregulated their respective Natural Gas market to allow end users to purchase and manage their own supply. Blackstone is in the business of assisting end users in deregulated markets to find supply and helping them manage their price risk to the spot market.
