Darlene oversees Blackstone’s external and internal communications. She manages the strategic management and deployment of communications to clients and prospects, and played a transformative role in spearheading Blackstone’s 2015 rebranding efforts.
Internally her focus is on employees – their growth (talent recruitment and training), their experience (health and well-being, culture), and performance management. In a rapidly changing business landscape and the work and challenges that come with it, Darlene is focused on ensuring that Blackstone is an organization designed for the future.
Prior to joining Blackstone, Darlene was the President of GREY Toronto, a 70+ person, multi-national creative advertising agency. With over 22 years experience in the advertising and communications industry, Darlene was consistently cited for her ability to nurture exemplary client partnerships and foster a culture of innovation.
She is a recognized communications industry leader for her invaluable strategic business leadership and communications consultation on well-known brands such as PepsiCo, GlaxoSmithKline, Mars Inc, Brown-Forman, Procter & Gamble and the Government of Ontario.
Darlene is a graduate of Western University and proud mom of three girls. In her spare time she is an avid skier and traveler, and continues to patiently hone her yoga practice.
